Terms of Service

1. About Amethy

Welcome to Amethy. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Amethy mobile application and website at www.amethy.app (together, the "Service"), operated by Jeyen Consulting, registered at 2 allée Charles de Foucauld, 93160 Noisy-le-Grand, France, SIRET 99381498700018 ("we", "us", "our", "Amethy").

Amethy offers guided self-hypnotherapy audio sessions designed to support your personal wellbeing journey. All audio content is created by Jérôme Cussat, a certified Master Practitioner in Ericksonian Hypnosis (Institut Centre France d'Hypnose Ericksonienne), certified in Childhood & Hypnosis and Psychopathology applied to Hypnosis at A.R.C.H.E. (Académie pour la Recherche et la Connaissance en Hypnose Ericksonienne), with additional certification in Neurosciences (A.R.C.H.E.) and a DEUG STAPS with specialisation in cognitive and developmental psychology.

Our sessions focus on areas such as relaxation, sleep, focus, and confidence. Amethy is a self-guided wellness tool -- it is not a medical device, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Important Health Disclaimer

Amethy is not a medical service. The content provided through Amethy is intended solely as a personal wellbeing and relaxation tool.

  • Amethy does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
  • Amethy is not a substitute for professional medical advice, therapy, counselling, or any other professional healthcare service.
  • If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a healthcare professional or your local emergency services immediately.
  • If you are currently receiving treatment, please consult your healthcare provider before using Amethy.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an Amethy account. If you are between 16 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Account Registration

Amethy uses phone number verification for account creation and sign-in. You agree to provide a valid phone number and to receive verification codes via SMS. Standard messaging rates may apply.

Each phone number may be associated with only one Amethy account.

5. The Service

Amethy provides:

  • Guided self-hypnotherapy audio sessions across wellbeing themes
  • Personal journaling features
  • Session progress tracking
  • Social encouragement features (high-fives, nudges between friends)

We aim to make Amethy available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Amethy in a respectful and lawful manner. You must not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit any content from the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person

7. Intellectual Property

All audio sessions, visual assets, text, designs, logos, and other content are owned by or licensed to Jeyen Consulting. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Content you create within Amethy (such as journal entries) remains yours.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

9. Termination

You may stop using Amethy at any time. You may request deletion of your account at support@amethy.app or via the app's account deletion feature.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, or if required by law.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant that using Amethy will produce any particular wellbeing outcome.

For EU users: Your statutory rights under EU law are not affected by these Terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jeyen Consulting shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. If you have a concern, please contact us at support@amethy.app. EU users may also submit a complaint through the European ODR platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via your registered contact information. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
